Why I do this work.
I love working with our students! I love encouraging them and hopefully instilling in them some positive behaviors and to come out of their comfort zone. They also keep me active and young at heart. I was a school secretary for 14 years and stared at the four walls. Now I am outdoors, traveling for camps, conferences and trainings. I love my job!
Gloria is the Data and Operations Manager.
I’ve been with Project Venture for 22 years in various roles, including an evaluator assistant and an administrative assistant. I had the opportunity to learn so much and participate in many activities such as rock climbing, rappelling, canoeing and biking. I have hiked down to Havasupai and up to Blanca Peak, Colorado. I serve as the camp cook. I have obtained my Wilderness First Responder and Mental Health First Aid certifications.
When I’m not at Project Venture, you can find me at home with my grandkids and my two children, riding motorcycles or sharing a meal with my three sisters, our children and grandchildren.
