Heather began her Project Venture career as an Experiential Educator in 2006 and is currently our Director of Project Venture in Albuquerque. She has over 19 years’ experience working with youth in adventure-based learning, and over a decade in teen pregnancy/STI prevention programming. At Project Venture, she has specialized in curriculum development and served as lead trainer. Ms. Yazzie-Campbell has been the experiential program manager for Venture Beyond Prevention since the project’s formative pilot phase. She was an experiential educator, trainer, and curriculum developer for Web of Life, a teen pregnancy prevention program targeting middle school student, and Healthy Pathways, a high school teen pregnancy/STI prevention program.. Ms. Yazzie-Campbell is certified in CPR and as a Wilderness First Responder, and has a master’s degree in outdoor education from Prescott University.
