Dr. Beulah Allen, MD was honored recently for her many years of service to Project Venture, including 15 years as President of the Board of Directors.

 Dr. Allen was one of the first Navajo medical doctors and helped create the Emergency Medical Service providing ambulance and quick response medical care across the Navajo Nation. In 1952, she was crowned the first Miss Navajo at the Navajo Nation Fair, the largest fair held on the Navajo Nation. She was born in Kinlichee, Arizona, and is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson.
